Alex Cherniakov-Cohen and Sonia
Cherniakov are Dipl. Architects, Faculty
of Architecture and Town Planning -
Technion, Israel Institute of Technology
(Haifa, Israel).
Alex has been working as leading project
architect for more than 20 years in Israel.
He was involved into design of hotels
(Carmillo and Riviera hotels), residential
buildings in Haifa, Herzelia and Ashdod,
new hospital building in Safed, renovation
of the Shopping centre «B» in Ashdod and
Kfar-Kana of Galilee Historical Centre.
The «DELEK» company headquarters
competition proposal won the 1-st prize
in 1998.
Alex is the author of many private
houses and interiors.
Sonia was the author of a concept
for the new Haifa Master Plan (OASIS
project) and the concept of renovation
the Historical Centre of Shargorod
(Ukraine). She has been the architect of
the project that represented the State of
Israel in the Venice architectural Biennale
in 1996. Sonia has been involved as a
chief architect in the design of many
educational and office buildings.
Sonia is the author of private villas
design, restaurants and apartments
interiors.
In 2005 the architects established their
own design bureau in Moscow, Russia.
Their rich architectural practice includes
exclusive villas, apartments, restaurants,
hotels and private interiors.
